Class Registration Terms

We’re so glad you’re joining us! Please review the following terms before registering for class.

Educational Scope

Wildwood Birth classes are intended to provide general education and preparation for pregnancy, birth, feeding, newborn care, and the postpartum period. The information we share is educational in nature and is not medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, or a substitute for individualized care from your healthcare provider.

Our goal is to help you understand your options, ask informed questions, and make decisions that are right for you and your family. Because every person, pregnancy, birth, and baby is different, information discussed in class may not be appropriate for every individual or circumstance. Please consult your physician, midwife, pediatrician, lactation provider, or other appropriate healthcare professional about questions specific to your health or your baby’s health.

Participation in a Wildwood Birth class does not establish a healthcare provider-patient relationship.

Registration + Attendance

Your registration reserves a place in the class session you selected. Please double-check the dates and times of your class before completing registration.

Unless otherwise noted in the class description, registration includes the pregnant or postpartum participant and one partner or support person.

If you are unable to attend your scheduled class, please contact us as soon as possible. When space allows, we may be able to transfer your registration to another upcoming session.

Cancellations, Transfers + Refunds

We understand that plans change—especially when there’s a baby involved! We’ll do our best to offer flexibility when circumstances shift.

Cancellations
Class registrations are eligible for a full refund for seven days following registration, as long as your scheduled class does not begin within that seven-day period. Once your class is within seven days of beginning, registration fees are nonrefundable.

Transferring to another class
If you can no longer attend your scheduled class, you may request to transfer your registration to another available class or cohort. Transfer requests must be made in writing by emailing Wildwood Birth at least seven days before your class begins. Transfers are subject to availability, and we cannot guarantee space in another class.

Switching to private instruction
If attending a group class no longer works for you, the amount you’ve already paid may be applied toward private instruction. Private classes are offered at $60/hour, and any additional balance will be due when scheduling your private session.

If your baby arrives earlier than expected
Babies, of course, have their own timelines. If an unexpectedly early birth means you’re unable to attend your scheduled class, your class payment may instead be applied toward postpartum support with Wildwood Birth.

If Wildwood Birth cancels or reschedules a class
If we need to cancel or reschedule your class, we’ll contact you as soon as possible and offer the option to transfer your registration to another available class or receive a full refund.

Class Materials + Recordings

Any handouts, videos, written materials, slides, or other resources provided as part of a Wildwood Birth class are for the personal use of registered participants. They may not be reproduced, distributed, published, sold, or shared publicly without permission from Wildwood Birth.

Please do not record class sessions without prior permission. This helps us protect both our educational materials and the privacy of other participants.

Participation + Personal Responsibility

Our classes sometimes include discussion, demonstrations, movement, comfort techniques, or opportunities to practice hands-on skills. Participation in any activity is always optional. Please use your own judgment about what feels appropriate for you, and follow any guidance or restrictions provided by your healthcare team.

You are responsible for seeking appropriate medical care when needed. Nothing taught or discussed in class should be used to delay or replace medical evaluation or treatment for you or your baby.

Privacy

Birth, pregnancy, feeding, and postpartum experiences can be personal. We ask everyone attending our classes to respect the privacy of fellow participants and not share another participant’s personal story or identifying information outside of class.

Wildwood Birth will handle the personal information you provide during registration in accordance with our applicable privacy practices.

Agreement

By registering for a Wildwood Birth class and indicating your agreement to these Class Registration Terms, you acknowledge that you have read and agree to the terms above.
