Collective Care with Kim & Vera
From a sustainability mindset, our partnership allows us to care for both our clients and ourselves, modeling the importance of self care in our own practice. With a shared philosophy in supporting you and your family, we pull from our individual backgrounds and experience in your prenatal meetings, contributing to your overall access to the abundance that comes with our partnership. Through this model of care we are offering you the best of both of us during your pregnancy, your labor & birth, and in your postpartum experience.
How the partnership model works:
Preparation: We both attend each of your doula prenatal meetings where we learn your preferences and build strong relationships of support with you and your family
On-call at 38 weeks: We share an on-call schedule, and the person who is on-call when you go into labor will be the one to support you during labor and birth
Guaranteed back-up: This ensures that you will know and have a strong relationship with the person attending your birth (one of us)
Postpartum support: The person who attends your birth will also come to your home for a follow-up visit during the first week postpartum to process your birth story (optional) and provide guidance for recovery, feeding, and newborn care. We continue to be available to you for 6 weeks post-birth
