Collective Care with Alice & Alyson
After arriving to Portland from Porto Portugal, Alice Kennerly discovered her profound purpose after a transformative acupuncture session that ignited her journey towards helping others. With a dedication to exploring her true passions, Alice pursued a scholarship to train as a doula, empowered by her family’s stories and the belief that childbirth could be a positive experience. Since embarking on this journey in 2024, Alice has had the distinct honor of supporting families worldwide, implementing the essential role of compassionate care. She invites everyone to share in the warmth and strength of a caring community, emphasizing that no one should navigate the milestone of birth alone.
Alyson Day complements Alice’s vision with her specialized expertise as a certified birth doula and perinatal mental health support provider. She is focused on supporting clients through significant life transitions, with a belief that birth is one of the most pivotal experiences in a person’s life. She is passionate about health equity; Alyson advocates for all mothers, ensuring they receive fair and compassionate support during this special time. Alyson is mother of two daughters, Ima, age 19, and Tatum, age 15. She is also stepmother to Alice and after completing her doula training, she knew that Alice was also meant to do this work. They share both a family bond and doula calling.
Together, Alice and Alyson integrate multicultural and intergenerational approaches into their support, creating a nurturing environment for all families. They recognize the intricate dance of the birth experience, enriched by their personal stories, and are committed to providing unwavering support for whatever birth experience the client desires. With a shared belief that every birth story is sacred, Alice and Alyson are dedicated to walking alongside families, celebrating the beauty of each unique journey.
